The skip hire sessions will end when most of the citizens will go out for vacation during Christmas. By the beginning of December a good old car will start whining, the otherwise neglected garages will witness a makeover and bookings will flood the travel agency. This is a repetitive pattern that is found in Aleksandr since the beginning of time. The winter is unbearable here. Even the whole of Rostov forest cannot keep you warm enough. More over there is hardly any wood left as most of the forest plot is leased to those rich people who can afford it and I can assure that none except the skip company owner and the church owns any plot in Rostov.

We were especially fired up with the prospect of spending the vacation in south. My Bike's motor was gleaming in the sun. A van has been specially hired for the purpose. The van was a makeshift Fiat car with an open buggy attached at the back for goods purposes. Bolivar got a new accessory for his motorbike, perhaps as a favor of his electrician cousin. Uncle Alex was in a great mood and chuckled from time to time.

With a low growl, the motor of the van started and our vacation has started. I personally felt a strange euphoria about being free and happy. As we entered the highway, we saw many cars busing up and down the Polkser Bridge. Like us everyone was running away from the winter.

After two or three hours of ride we came across two or three extensive farms where wheat was grown. One can see massive motor pumps pumping water into the irrigation channel. The people in this region are very prosperous, as evident by their posh farmhouses and well kept cars. I followed my parents in a motorcycle with Bolivar. We were in a very great mood. The car was rolling on smoothly on the newly constructed road and so was our motorbike.In less then four hours of uninterrupted ride we shall reach Beethoven, a small town famous for its quality wine and delicacy. Traveling is the best part of our vacation.
